The Lacy Media Center operates as a hub of the school. Flexible scheduling, which is consistent with the school district's expectations, has the dynamics to significantly enhance the instructional component of the Media program

.This approach replaces the fixed scheduling utilized in years past where each class came for Media once a week at a set time. Instead, students will be visiting the Media Center for instruction, enrichment, research, etc. as needed. Hence, they may be coming in small groups or individually. Moreover, their visits can vary in both quantity of time spent in the Media Center and the frequency of visits to the Media Center. In this instructional sense, students will be working on assignments linked to their curriculum and custom designed for them. The instructional component therefore remains but now offers more in terms of differentiation
