Counselor's Corner
Meet the Counselor

Hello! I am Sue Edward's, your counselor since August 1998. Before I came to Lacy I worked in Durham Public schools for ten years as both a 5th grade teacher and a school counselor. I also taught for Department of Defense Dependents Schools in Germany for three years.
Even though I attended Meredith College, I graduated with a B.A. in Elementary Education from UNC - Wilmington. Later I attended North Carolina Central University to get my Masters in Student Personnel. Currently I am a National Board Certified Counselor and School Counselor. One of my most memorable experiences was when I was awarded the Elementary School Counselor Award in 2000 by the Wake County PTA.
I am married to Dean Edwards and have two wonderful adult step-daughters, Denise and Leslie. When I have free time I enjoy playing golf, exercising and reading.
